Julia Sterling is a versatile pianist and composer, interested in different idioms and different genres, captivated by art music, popular music including songwriting, as well as jazz and musical theater. They are interested in both instrumental and vocal music. They have composed works for various solo instruments, small and large vocal and instrumental chamber ensembles, as well as music for symphony orchestra. Julia graduated from Tulane University in 2022 with a BFA in music composition, where they studied with Barbara Jazwinski, Ashlin Parker, and Jesse McBride.
