Maria Hadge (Cello)

A resident of New York City, Maria Hadge is a cellist who feels equally at home with contemporary music, free improvisation, and musical theater. Recent credits include 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee at the New London Barn, Little Women at the Palace Theatre, Fiddler on the Roof in Yiddish at Stage 42, Beauty and the Beast, Spring Awakening, Bright Star, and Into the Woods. Her playing has taken her around the globe, working with early-career and master composers, as well as performing with artists such as Mitski, Monica Bellucci, and Judy Collins. As a freelance artist, her playing has been featured on albums with New Focus Records, Intakt Records, and Indexical. Outside of performing, Hadge enjoys running, baking bread, and embroidering. She can be found most days at Reed-Yeboah Fine Violins as Managerial Assistant and (self-titled) Cello Keeper.
