Mary Tomei (Director)
Mary is a NY-based directorwith a B.A. in theater from Northwestern University. Most recently, she directed a production of Halfway There by Norm Foster for The Snarks Ltd. and the 2nd annual Night of New Work, a cabaret featuring new songs by artists such as Tom Kitt, Adam Gwon, Shaina Taub and others. Mary is thrilled to return to The Angel Makers, having directed its award-winning premiere production at the SheNYC Summer Theater Festival in August 2024. Other credits include Bright Star at Ghostlight Theater Camp, Jordan Knitzer’s Itchin’ for an Itch: The Mosquitical, awarded BEST PRODUCTION SHORT at New York Theater Festival, and assisting on King of Pangaea by Martin Storrow (dir. Richard Israel) at NAMT’s 34th Annual Festival of New Musicals. Mary is interested in creating accessible theater that challenges all audiences, primarily through new work and musical storytelling.
