Sravya Saraswatula (Graphic Designer)

Sravya Saraswatula is a writer, a visual designer, an awkward dancer, an okay singer, a sometimes composer, a visual artist when required and when nothing’s working out: a printer-publisher.

She has done many crazy things in India where there's no artistic pipeline for her. Be that: a musical, a movie, a zine, an art show, a play, design for folk theater, or something that’s everything.

Sravya has a master's in Musical Theatre Writing from NYU Tisch. She has written: a 20-animated-minute musical adapted from 3 tribal stories; a 40-minute screenplay on the tiny art communities of India; a 15-minute opera about the residents of Chelsea’s public housing in collaboration with the American Opera Project which has had 2 performances in New York; and lastly, she is writing a full-length musical, Lotus & Jasmine, about 2 nannies: one in Hyderabad, India(me’s home) and one in Berlin, Germany (composer’s home) that had a workshop with the Broadway director, Dev Janki.
